NORTHWEST GAUL. Baiocassi. 2nd-1st century BC. Stater (Subaeratus, 21 mm, 5.38 g), 'au sanglier' and 'au profil géométrique' type. Celticized male head to right, surmounted by a boar. Rev. Devolved charioteer, driving a cart drawn by a centaur to right, holding reins in his right hand and a long branch ending in a vexillum-like banner in his left; below, boar to right. DT 2264. LT 6978. Struck from very worn dies and with some breaks in plating, otherwise, fine.
